Rashmi Narasimhamurthy
M.D., Family Practice
“Since childhood, it has been my dream to help people. Becoming a doctor has been a great decision of my life. As a family physician, I enjoy working with variety of specialties. It is extremely rewarding to work with patients from all ages and cultural backgrounds.” Rashmi Narasimhamurthy, M.D., is Board-certified in Family Medicine and is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil. Dr. Narasimhamurthy is well educated in a broad range of specialties including Adult Medicine, Adolescent medicine, Geriatrics, Dermatology, and Ob/Gyn. After graduating from DR. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College in Bangalore, India, she completed her Family Medicine residency in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Narasimhamurthy lives in San Jose with her husband. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, traveling, listening to music, and reading.
Poorva Kamath
M.D., Family Practice
“I’ve always wanted to be a physician. As a doctor, I love being useful and being able to help my patients. I love that AACI is small enough to make people feel at home, but large enough so that everyone feels supported.” Poorva Kamath, M.D., is Board Certified in Family Medicine and fluent in English, Hindi, Konkani, Kannada, and Tulu. Dr. Kamath has been a Primary Care Physician at AACI since November 2015.Her professional interests include a comprehensive approach to Medicine, and her special interest is children and women’s health. After graduating from JSS Medical College, Karnataka in India, she completed her Family Practice residency program at UC Davis-Merced. Dr. Kamath is also very involved and volunteers her time with the Art of Living Foundation, one of the world’s largest volunteer-based nonprofits dedicated to creating a stress-free, violence-free society. During her free time, Dr. Kamath enjoys hiking, camping, painting, and singing. She loves sports and enjoys swimming, playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Wangping Zhao
M.D., Family Practice
“Helping people is my motivation. As a family physician, I enjoy the challenge of problem solving and the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with my patients and their families.” Wangping Zhao, M.D., is Board-certified in Family Medicine and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Dr. Zhao has been a Primary Care Physician at AACI since 2007. She is well educated in a broad range of specialties which includes Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob/Gyn. As a family physician, Dr. Zhao has much experience in many areas of medicine such as common diseases and geriatric chronic conditions. She is competent to see patients of all ages. Graduating from Jiangxi Medical College in China, she practiced there as an Ob/Gyn for many years, and completed her Family Practice residency program in Detroit, Michigan. Her professional membership includes the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Zhao lives in San Jose with her husband. She enjoys the area’s beautiful weather, loves shopping, reading, and hiking.
