Master's Level (MFT & Social Work)

MSW/MFT applicants must submit:

    1. Cover letter with answers to these three questions:
      • Why are you interested in training at AACI?
      • What experience have you had working with the Asian/Pacific Islander population?
      • Are you fluent in any language(s) other than English? If yes, please specify which language(s) and fluency level in speaking, reading and writing.

Hours required: 1000 hours
Stipend: dependent on program funding

Supervision

Individual supervision: 1 hours/week
Group supervision: 2 hours/week

Individual and group supervision will be provided by a licensed clinical supervisor (Psychologist, MFT or LCSW).

Modalities: Direct observation, audiotape, videotape, case presentations, review of written work

Training

3 hours/week of didactic trainings and case conferences

Training topics include legal and ethical issues, interviewing and diagnostic skills, risk assessment and reporting, treatment planning and intervention, community linkage and professional development.
