AACI is a member of the Bay Area Practicum Information Collaborative (BAPIC) for the 2018-2019 Training Year.

Applicants for BAPIC Psychology Practicum must submit:

    1. Cover letter with answers to these three questions:
      • What are you most interested in about the training program at AACI?
      • What experience have you had working with the Asian/Pacific Islander population?
      • Are you fluent in any language(s) other than English? If yes, please specify which language(s) and fluency level in speaking, reading and writing.
    2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    3. Letters of recommendation (3)

Practicum End Date: 7/26/2024

Hours required for practicum year: 500+ hours
Stipend: $18-19.45/hour (depending on year in doctoral program)

Supervision

Individual supervision: 1 hours/week
Group supervision: 2 hours/week

Individual supervision will be provided by a licensed psychologist. Group supervision will be provided by a licensed clinical supervisor (Psychologist, MFT or LCSW).

Modalities: Direct observation, audiotape, videotape, case presentations, review of written work

Training

2-3.5 hours/week of didactic trainings and case conferences

Training topics include legal and ethical issues, interviewing and diagnostic skills, risk assessment and reporting, treatment planning and intervention, community linkage, professional development, and psychological assessment.
