Your organization has the power to touch lives in our community and give people the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. AACI would love to engage with your company, employee group, or community organization through hands-on volunteer projects and donation drives.
Below are several volunteer opportunities where your team can collect supplies, assemble kits, and donate essential items that directly support AACI clients and programs. Please download the flyers to read the full requirements for each opportunity.

Volunteer Opportunities
Back To School Drive
Provide backpacks and school supplies to underserved youth, including foster youth, refugee and immigrant youth, children in our shelter program, and children that attend the Back to School Health Fair. AACI’s goal is to collect 1,000 backpack kits!
Seasonal: We accept backpacks May–July.
Take Home Therapy Kits
AACI’s Take-Home Therapy Kits provide youth and families with therapeutic tools they can use outside of counseling sessions. Kits include fidget toys, journals, mindfulness activities, and art supplies that support emotional wellness.
Year-Round: Depends on program needs
Care Kits
Help provide comfort and dignity to individuals and families in need by assembling Care Kits. These kits include essential hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and more for clients across AACI’s programs. Items must be NEW and FULL-SIZE.
Year-Round: Depends on program needs
Household Cleaning Supply Kits
Help families access basic cleaning essentials while rebuilding stability after crisis or hardship. Kits include laundry detergent, dish soap, disinfecting wipes, sponges, and other household cleaning supplies.

Youth Art Kits
AACI’s Youth Art Kits provide children and teens in AACI’s Youth Program with creative supplies that support self-expression, healing, and emotional wellness. Kits include supplies for painting, drawing, clay modeling, and more!

Holiday Gift Card Drive
During the holiday season, AACI collects gift cards to support families and individuals experiencing financial hardship. Raise funds or collect gift cards so that children can pick out a special gift from their holiday wish list.
Seasonal: We accept gift cards and monetary donations October–December.
