Position: Data Reporting and Activity Specialist
Department: Center for Survivors of Torture (CST)
Reports to: Senior Program Manager
Job Location: Moorpark Avenue, San Jose
Work Hours: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) which was founded in 1973 has an amazing opportunity for the above position in the non-profit sector. AACI’s mission is to improve the health, mental health, and well-being of individuals, families and the Asian community. We do this by providing an array of high quality health and human services, sharing expertise about the Asian community’s needs and best services delivery practices, and providing Asian leadership in advocating on key health and human services issues. AACI has over 170 employees and an annual budget of over $16M.

The CST works toward a future in which torture ceases to exist and survivors have hope for a new life. The CST is a program dedicated to healing survivors of torture, war trauma and refugees. We provide direct care for those who have experienced to torture or war trauma, we train partners and service providers who can treat torture and war trauma survivors, and advocate for human rights and an end to torture.

Position Summary:

The Data Reporting and Activity Specialist performs a variety of services including but not restricted to:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Entry:
• Manage data sources, including paper forms, Excel spreadsheets, I2Itrack, NextGen
• Coordinate with program staff to ensure timeliness and quality of data collection and reporting
• Assist with the creation of program metrics for both internal and external evaluation
• Drive the evaluation, analysis, selection, design, testing, and implementation of new data processes and systems

Report Generation:
• Help maintain updated reporting calendar and contact lists
• Prepare statistical and, as needed, narrative reports for grants, community requests, and internal assessment
• Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure clear communication and coordination around grant reports
• Monitor and evaluate program performance against target goals, recommending modifications as needed to deliverables and data collection processes
• Communicate with funders about reports and site visits, including compliance issues

Volunteer Support:
• Coordinate with Events & Volunteer Coordinator and volunteers as needed for program activates
• Attend meetings and events as needed as a representative of the program and agency

Other Duties:
• Coordinate monthly supply order for the community office
• May assist with storing and transporting donations
• Responsible for other duties as assigned


. BA/BS degree or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in a professional office environment. Non-profit and grant experience preferred
. Attention to detail and deadlines is critcial. Proven ability to manage and analyze data
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Excellent customer service and client services philosophy in all interactions
. Excellent organizational and project management skills
. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks while also being a team player
. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel preferred
