Project 40: AACI’s Community Canvas

March 6, 2013

On Saturday, January 26, AACI launched “Project 40: AACI’s Community Canvas” where community members, staff and clients were invited to create art work in celebration of AACI’s 40th anniversary.

AACI supplied all of the materials – acrylic paint, 16×20 canvas paper, and paint brushes – and the community donated their talent. The artists were provided with two guidelines: to include a depiction of 40 somewhere in the painting and to use AACI’s mission and work to support healthy lives and build healthy communities as inspiration for the art.

More than 50 individuals participated in Project 40 bringing creativity and inspiration to AACI’s 40th anniversary celebration. The Project 40 art will be displayed in various areas throughout AACI’s building starting in late March and will be used to promote and support AACI’s mission. AACI would like to thank all of the artists who volunteered their time and talent and to Linda Choy, our art curator for this project.

Stay tuned for the first unveiling of Project 40 art in AACI’s main lobby, Suite 300.
